Minke Whale Found Dead Off the Coast of Uljin, Gyeongbuk... Traded for 33 Million Won

According to the Uljin Maritime Police Station on the 5th, at around 5:52 a.m. that day, the trap fishing vessel H (9.77 tons), operating in the southeastern waters of Jukbyeon Port, Uljin-gun, discovered a minke whale caught in a net and reported it.
The discovered minke whale measured 5.20 meters in length and 2.90 meters in girth. The Uljin Maritime Police stated that the whale had been dead for about 20 days and was in a state of decomposition.
The maritime police judged that there were no signs of the whale being artificially captured using harpoons or spears, and issued a whale distribution certificate.
The minke whale was traded for 33 million won at the Jukbyeon Fisheries Cooperative.
