View original image[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Sung-yeol] Lee Jun-seok, Chairman of the Young Party Vision Committee of the New Conservative Party, criticized former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk, who is embroiled in allegations of his son taking a proxy exam, saying, "Choi Seo-won did not even go to the Asian Games and ride a horse on his behalf."
On the afternoon of the 2nd, Lee posted on his Facebook, "If we turn the clock back three years, the admission corruption of Jung Yoo-ra was just about her going to the entrance exam with a gold medal around her neck, not forging the gold medal," comparing it to the allegations against former Minister Cho.
He said, "Jung Yoo-ra's academic corruption was about not attending school or classes, not that Choi Seo-won did her homework or took the exam for her."
He continued, "Jung Yoo-ra became free without even needing a trial by admitting everything herself," adding, "She was not given a chance to make an excuse-like interview on a radio broadcast, and she just said she came in worried about her child when entering the airport and admitted everything."
Finally, he concluded his post by saying, "If using such a clear contrast is seen as defending Jung Yoo-ra, then you are the strange one."
According to the prosecution's indictment submitted to the National Assembly on December 31 last year, former Minister Cho and his wife are suspected of receiving and solving online exam questions twice, on November 1 and December 5, 2016, for the course 'Global Perspective on Democracy' taken by their son attending George Washington University in the United States.
