Chairman Kang Tae-sun of Black Yak Urges "Creating Social Value to Enhance Corporate Competitiveness"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] On the 2nd, Kang Taeseon, Chairman of Black Yak, called for the creation of social value that can enhance corporate competitiveness at the New Year's opening ceremony.
He emphasized coexistence with nature, which is inseparable from the essence of outdoor activities, as a core task and urged all employees to join in supporting Black Yak's sustainable efforts to create social value.
Chairman Kang stated, "Until now, corporate social responsibility could not take precedence over business, and we have learned that the primary purpose of a company is profit-seeking, but this can no longer guarantee the sustainability of a company."
He added, "If we create paths that others have not taken and experiences that others have not had through behaviors that break away from existing habits and fixed ideas, we can enhance Black Yak's sustainable competitiveness."
Black Yak holds a New Year's mountain hike every year on the first day of the year with mountaineers and employees. This year, on the 1st, about 80 people including employees, their families, and the Black Yak Alpine Club Sherpa climbed Seongindae in Goseong-gun, Gangwon-do, to watch the first sunrise of the year and pledge a new start.
