No Hyeran, Branch Manager of Family Office Financial Center 1 at Samsung Securities, received a total of 1,817,000,000 won last year, ranking first in salary at the firm. Of this total, 1,685,000,000 won was paid as a bonus, meaning that a one-time income accounted for the majority of her annual earnings. According to the business report from Samsung Securities, "Branch Manager No provides optimal solutions tailored to the financial needs of clients, and in particular, offered a variety of stock and product investment ideas to affluent individuals and corporations," explaining the background behind the high salary.

Park Jongmoon, CEO of Samsung Securities, received 1,804,000,000 won-less than Branch Manager No. Two years ago, CEO Park received 1,591,000,000 won, and Branch Manager No received 1,237,000,000 won; these figures have since reversed.

At NH Investment & Securities, Executive Director Shin Dongseop recorded total compensation of 2,008,000,000 won last year. This is 78,000,000 won more than the 1,930,000,000 won received by CEO Yoon Byungwoon of NH Investment & Securities. However, in Executive Director Shin's case, a larger portion of the income was from retirement pay (about 1,400,000,000 won) for long service rather than from bonuses related to the booming stock market.

It is expected that similar cases will emerge at other securities firms that have not yet released their business reports. Especially this year, as the KOSPI has risen compared to last year and a large influx of individual investors has sharply increased trading volume, many employees are projected to receive substantial salaries.
