Aseong Daiso announced on Feb. 26 that it will hold the "National Great-Find: 1,000-Won Happiness Promotion."

This promotion consists of around 400 products under two themes: "National Great-Find," which features everyday items such as kitchenware, cleaning supplies, and hygiene products with ultra value-for-money, and "1,000-Won Happiness," which offers amazing value for just 1,000 won. It is currently being showcased as an independent special section at about 400 Daiso stores nationwide, and the company plans to expand it to all stores in the future. The products are also available on Daisomall.

"National Great-Find" is made up of products that boast ultra value-for-money even among Daiso's already cost-effective items. For products with strong existing sales, Daiso either increased the quantity at the same price or improved the quality. The "Design Paper Cup (184 ml)" has been increased from 40 to 50 cups for 500 won, and from 80 to 100 cups for 1,000 won. The "Take-out Paper Cup" has been increased from 100 to 120 cups for 5,000 won, with added thickness to improve usability. The "Disposable Drain Filter, 50 sheets" remains a 1,000-won item, but the quantity has been increased from 45 to 50 sheets, and the finish has been upgraded from standard stitching to double high-frequency sealing, while keeping the price unchanged. The "New Mom Screen Sanitary Gloves" have been increased from 70 to 80 gloves, and the thickness has been raised from 23 mic to 25 mic to enhance quality.

"1,000-Won Happiness" consists of products that offer remarkable value for 1,000 won. About 50% of all Daiso products are priced at 1,000 won, so 1,000-won items at Daiso carry a special significance. "Neocell Batteries" were selected in 2024 by the Korea Consumer Agency as the "best value-for-money batteries," and are priced at 1,000 won for a pack of four AA batteries and 1,000 won for a pack of four AAA batteries. The lineup also includes products that deliver value beyond 1,000 won in a variety of categories, such as "Round Non-slip Hangers, set of 5," "Mini Canvas, 10 x 10 cm," and "Zipper Bag Dental Floss, 70 pieces."

Daiso plans to operate "National Great-Find" and "1,000-Won Happiness" on a permanent basis while continuing to strengthen the product lineup. The products in these sections are carefully selected by merchandisers from among Daiso items that are considered the best in terms of quality, price, functionality, and design.

An Aseong Daiso representative said, "As this period of high inflation continues, more people will look for products with high value-for-money," adding, "Daiso will continue to do its best to deliver amazing value to customers through overwhelmingly ultra value-for-money products."
