The department store industry is entering the full-fledged Christmas season.

Lotte Department Store announced on October 30 that it will unveil its Christmas display on October 31, transforming Lotte Town with a warm Christmas ambiance and signaling the start of the year-end season.
Last year, Lotte Department Store received high praise for its "Wonderful SHOWTIME" concept, which recreated the vibrant musical streets of Broadway in the 1990s with Christmas decorations centered around its main store. In particular, the exterior lighting show featuring more than 20,000 LED bulbs became a signature winter attraction in the city center.
This year, the theme is "Sweet Holidays," conveying messages of comfort and encouragement to mark the end of the year. According to the company, the "Christmas Gift Parade" concept is intended to express gratitude to everyone for their efforts throughout the year and to share warm comfort in the spirit of celebration.
You can sequentially experience visual graphics depicting a fairy tale scene where the fairy character "Ttonttu," symbolizing Lotte Department Store's Christmas season, and various animals perform a Christmas parade at Lotte Department Store and Lotte Outlet locations nationwide. At the main store and Jamsil branch, the "Lotte Town Christmas Facade" will be presented, utilizing a total of 30,000 LED lights on the exterior walls.
In Lotte Town Myeongdong, a 13-meter-tall giant tree has been installed in front of Exit 7 of Euljiro 1(il)-ga Station. In addition, a 100-meter-long street stretching from the new building to the main building has been decorated with a "moving showcase" using dioramas. In front of the main store’s main entrance, a 3-meter-tall Ttonttu character photo zone has been set up, and inside the first-floor store, a moving Visual Presentation Zone (VP Zone) displays limited gifts available only at Lotte Department Store.
In addition, at the end of next month, the "Lotte Town Christmas Market," which has become one of the largest Christmas markets in the metropolitan area, will be held at the lawn square in Lotte Town Jamsil.

Shinsegae Department Store will unveil its Christmas video, representing the year-end season in Seoul, on the 7th of next month at Shinsegae Square. Under the theme "A Magical World Connecting Time," the video features Puuvilla, adorned with splendid Christmas decorations inside Shinsegae Square, welcoming the audience. Puuvilla means "cotton" in Finnish and is a cotton ball character resembling a white bear, first introduced in Shinsegae Department Store's 2017 Christmas campaign. At the end of the video, a message of wishing for happiness and wonder throughout the holiday season ("Wonder all the way") is delivered.
The interior of Shinsegae Department Store will also be filled with photo zones and giant Christmas trees. First, a large tree road will be set up on the first floor of Shinsegae Gangnam branch. In addition, the House of Shinsegae will be transformed into a space reminiscent of a golden galaxy with hundreds of thousands of lights. At Daejeon Shinsegae Art & Science, an 8-meter-tall giant tree will decorate the first-floor lobby.

In addition, starting from the 1st of next month, Hyundai Department Store will present a Christmas-themed display under the theme "Harry's Christmas Workshop" at its Apgujeong Main Store, The Hyundai Seoul, and all department stores and outlets nationwide.
At Sounds Forest H Village on the 5th floor of The Hyundai Seoul, which has become a popular spot for year-end photos, a story featuring Hyundai Department Store's signature Christmas character, "Baby Bear Harry," will unfold. Customers can visit five cottages in H Village, including Santa's House, Letter Workshop, Gift Workshop, Wrapping Workshop, and Rudolph's House, in sequence.
Hyundai Department Store locations nationwide will also continue the Christmas miracle with Baby Bear Harry. Large Christmas trees and photo zones will be installed at the main entrance plazas of the Apgujeong Main Store and Trade Center branch to provide a warm festive experience. At the Pangyo branch, a large owl sculpture depicting the delivery of Christmas gifts will be installed in the vertical void space between the first and fifth floors, and Harry's Christmas Workshop will be showcased in the Family Garden on the fifth floor.
At Hyundai Premium Outlet Gimpo branch, a Christmas village will be presented in the outdoor plaza on the 15th of next month. Along with a 13-meter-tall giant Christmas tree, a "Santa's House" measuring 6 meters in height, 8 meters in width, and 15 meters in length will be set up, and photo zones featuring Baby Bear Harry will be available throughout the area.
