The Han River bus, which had temporarily suspended operations for safety verification and service improvement, will resume service starting with the first departure at 9 a.m. on November 1.
According to the Seoul Metropolitan Government on the 27th, the city conducted trial runs without passengers for a month to accumulate operational data, stabilize performance, and improve crew proficiency. During this period, the bus completed over 300 repeated trial runs, including docking and undocking at piers and passing under bridges, simulating actual operating conditions to enhance both vessel safety and service quality.
When service resumes, operations will begin at 9 a.m., two hours earlier than the original schedule. The bus will run 16 times a day at 90-minute intervals on both weekdays and weekends, with the last arrival at 9:37 p.m.

In particular, two vessels will be deployed per route to prevent cancellations that occurred during the initial phase of official operations. Previously, if a vessel malfunctioned just before departure, cancellations were unavoidable. Now, by assigning a standby vessel at all times, the city aims to eliminate cancellations and minimize inconvenience for passengers.
Taking into account winter weather and changes in operating conditions, the current schedule of 16 daily runs will be maintained until March next year. In March 2026, the service will be expanded to 32 daily runs, including express commuter routes operating every 15 minutes from 7 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. The route covers seven piers from Magok to Jamsil (Magok-Mangwon-Yeouido-Apgujeong-Oksu-Ttukseom-Jamsil).

Fares remain unchanged at 3,000 won for adults, 1,800 won for teenagers, and 1,100 won for children for a one-way trip. City buses that were extended or newly established to connect with the piers in August continue to operate as usual.
Passengers can conveniently and affordably board the Han River bus using public transit transfer discounts. In addition, by purchasing and charging the "Han River Bus" option on the Climate Companion Card for an extra 5,000 won, they can enjoy unlimited rides. Real-time operational information, such as schedules, available seats, and weather-related cancellations, can be checked at any time through major mobility apps.
Park Jinyoung, Director of the Future Han River Headquarters at the Seoul Metropolitan Government, stated, "Through a month of stabilization runs, we have completed enhancements to vessel safety and service quality. Going forward, Seoul will continue to do its utmost to improve service quality and safety, so that the Han River bus becomes a more trusted water-based public transportation option for citizens."
