Securities Employees' Salaries Soar Amid Stock Market Boom
Securities firms benefited from the KOSPI rally, topping the list. Meritz Securities ranked first, with an average salary of 131.39 million won per employee, and a remarkable 263.54 million won for sales positions.
Following Meritz were Korea Investment & Securities (129.01 million won), NH Investment & Securities (105 million won), and Mirae Asset Securities (100 million won).
This represents an increase of about 10% compared to the previous year.
In the first half of the year, the KOSPI rose by 28%, ranking first among major global markets. As investment funds poured in, both performance and salaries jumped sharply.

Banks Also Enter the '100 Million Won Salary Era' in Just Half a Year
Bank employees' salaries also rose significantly in the first half. In particular, financial holding companies with higher average years of service paid salaries exceeding 100 million won.
KB Financial Group: 112 million won (1st place)
Woori Financial Group: 105 million won
Hana Financial Group: 95 million won
Shinhan Financial Group: 92 million won
The average salary for employees at the four major banks in the first half was 63.5 million won, higher than Samsung Electronics (60 million won), LG Electronics (59 million won), and Hyundai Motor (45 million won).
The combined net profit of the four major financial holding companies in the first half reached a record high of 10.3254 trillion won.
