The aim is to create a historical and cultural exploration trail and a forest recreation space that all citizens can use safely and comfortably.
The total project cost is 5,995,000,000 won, and the project will be divided into three sections, with phased development scheduled through 2028. The 800 million won in special grant funds secured this time will be used for implementing the first section.
Currently, the Mangu Circular Road has no separation between pedestrian and vehicle lanes, and it is used by park patrol vehicles, cemetery management vehicles, visitors’ cars, cyclists, and trail hikers alike. This has led to ongoing concerns about the risk of safety accidents, such as vehicle collisions and falls. In response, the city plans to build a safe pedestrian path to ensure secure movement for pedestrians.
Additionally, Guri City will establish a foundation for customized programs that connect historical, cultural, and forest resources, creating a multi-purpose forest recreation space where citizens can enjoy contemplation, learning, and relaxation at the same time.
