Candidate Min stated, "It is very regrettable that citizens were injured in an unexpected accident at what should have been a joyful festival," and added, "I will fundamentally innovate Goyang City's disaster response system to proactively prevent safety accidents and enable immediate responses when incidents occur."
Min has set the establishment of a 'Disaster Safety Officer under the direct supervision of the mayor' and the creation of a disaster safety control tower as his top campaign pledge. Through these measures, he also plans to establish a 'system for sending disaster alert messages within five minutes' to protect the critical response window.
In addition, to prevent a recurrence of incidents such as past underpass flooding, he plans to introduce an 'AI-based proactive traffic dispersion system' to prevent natural disasters and traffic accidents. Furthermore, he will conduct a comprehensive survey of infrastructure such as heat supply pipelines that threaten citizens' safety beneath their feet and gradually modernize these facilities.
Min also presented everyday safety policies so that citizens can be assured of their protection in daily life.
First, he plans to expand citizen safety insurance and extend the coverage of bicycle use insurance to include electric vehicles and delivery workers. He also pledged to create a pedestrian environment where vulnerable road users, such as children, the elderly, women, and people with disabilities, can walk with peace of mind.
Measures to strengthen the response to social disasters such as disasters and fires were also proposed. A 'Community Safety Gap Supplement System' will be established, allowing citizens to directly report and rectify hazards in every corner of their neighborhoods. He also plans to enact an ordinance to prevent suffocation accidents, expanding the installation of smoke control facilities and emergency escape respirators in apartment complexes and public facilities to minimize fire damage.
