Gyeongbokgung Ticket Lines to Shorten... Riot Games Donates Unmanned Ticket Machines
Five New Machines Installed at Gwanghwamun Ticket Office
Supporting Overseas Heritage Acquisition and Repatriation Since 2012
The lines for ticket purchases at Gyeongbokgung Palace, especially on weekends and public holidays, are expected to become noticeably shorter for visitors.
The Cultural Heritage Administration announced on March 18 that it received a donation of five unmanned ticket vending machines from Riot Games Korea at the Gwanghwamun ticket office in Gyeongbokgung on the 17th. With this donation, the number of unmanned ticket vending machines inside Gyeongbokgung Palace has increased from ten to fifteen.
The newly added machines will be strategically installed at the Gwanghwamun ticket office, the busiest location for visitors. As a result, both the waiting times and congestion experienced by guests purchasing tickets are expected to decrease significantly.
An official from the Cultural Heritage Administration stated, "We will continue to improve visitor convenience by expanding public-private partnerships in connection with corporate social responsibility activities."
