DB Group is making a fresh start.
From April 30, 2026, for four days, the company will host the inaugural DB Women's Championship of the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour at Rainbow Hills Country Club in Eumseong, North Chungcheong Province. With this new event, launched in partnership with the KLPGA Tour, DB Group continues its support of Korean women's golf. From 2021 through last year, DB Group successfully managed the Korea Women's Open as the title sponsor for five years.
DB Group has been actively supporting golf. DB Insurance sponsors the DB Insurance Promy Open, which is the opening tournament of the Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) Tour, thus maintaining its connection to men's professional golf. The company is expanding its position as a sponsor across both men's and women's tours.
The quality of the tournament has also been elevated. The DB Women's Championship will be contested at Rainbow Hills Country Club, the same venue as the Korea Women's Open. The course was designed by the world-renowned architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. It features 27 holes, a mountainous layout that makes the most of the natural terrain, narrow fairways with varied undulations, and fast, challenging greens.
The tournament organizing committee will open the West Course, which is not used for the tournament rounds. There, a natural grass driving range has been created to provide players with optimal practice conditions.
DB Group is also actively sponsoring players. The DB Insurance Golf Team includes Moon Do-yeob, Kim Hong-taek, and Jang Hee-min (all KPGA), and as of this year, Han Ah-reum and An Jae-hee (both KLPGA) have newly joined the roster.
This tournament will feature all of this season's winners: Lim Jin-young, Ko Ji-won, Kim Min-sol, and Kim Min-sun7. Last year's Player of the Year Yoo Hyun-jo and prize money leader Hong Jeong-min are also on the entry list. Park Min-ji, who has claimed two victories at Rainbow Hills Country Club, will also compete.

This year marks the introduction of the "Champions Time" tradition, where the winner's name and the exact time of their champion putt will be engraved on site. This record will be displayed on the "DB Champions Legacy" board at Rainbow Hills Country Club. A DB Group representative stated, "Based on the experience we have gained from sponsoring the Korea Women's Open, we will endeavor to grow the DB Women's Championship into a flagship event of the KLPGA Tour."
