The One Team candidates from the People Power Party running in Hamyang County for the 9th National Simultaneous Local Elections held a departure ceremony, officially kicking off their campaign to expand support.
On the morning of the 21st, the One Team candidates from the People Power Party in Hamyang County held a departure ceremony at Dongmun Intersection in Hamyang-eup, expressing their strong determination to win the June 3 local elections.
The ceremony was attended by 11 People Power Party candidates, including Jin Byungyoung, candidate for the mayor of Hamyang County; Kwon Daegun, candidate for the Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Assembly; as well as county council and proportional representation candidates, showcasing their unity and strength.

Jin Byungyoung, candidate for mayor, stated, "By ensuring uninterrupted county administration, I will build a greater and more robust future for Hamyang over the next 100 years," and added, "I ask for the overwhelming support of the citizens to ensure stable county governance."
He further addressed various suspicions raised during the election process, saying, "The allegations regarding bribing rival candidates or favoring certain companies with contracts are not true," and emphasized, "Outdated election practices centered on negative campaigning and lawsuits, which are repeated every election, must end now."
Jin also said, "I hope this election is conducted as a policy-based competition that focuses on pledges and verifying candidates' qualifications," and proposed, "If you are running for county mayor, you should actively participate in candidate debates and have your policies and capabilities evaluated in front of voters, rather than engaging in negative attacks."
He appealed, "All People Power Party One Team candidates are passionate about the development of Hamyang and love for its people. Please unite your efforts so that all our One Team candidates can be elected and work together with one heart for regional development."
The departure ceremony also featured a youth B-boy dance performance, further elevating the atmosphere at the site. After the ceremony, the candidates visited the Memorial Tower for the Fallen to reaffirm their determination to win.
