It is a major project aimed at strengthening the industrial base in northern Gyeonggi and improving conditions for corporate locations. Recently, following the announcement of changes to the basic management plan by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, new industries such as rubber and plastic product manufacturing, fabricated metal product manufacturing, electrical equipment manufacturing, and furniture manufacturing have been added to the list of eligible businesses, in addition to those previously permitted. As a result, companies in 17 out of 25 manufacturing sectors are now able to move into the complex.
With this expansion of eligible industries, the city plans to actively promote a variety of support systems and sales incentives so that more companies will seriously consider relocating to or expanding within the complex.
Currently, Dongducheon National Industrial Complex offers a range of incentives for tenant companies, such as advance payment discounts and support for land purchase costs, to reduce the initial investment burden. The city expects that these support measures will provide practical assistance to companies considering relocating, establishing, or expanding factories within the complex.
In addition, the city will distribute promotional materials to relevant economic organizations, associations, and cooperatives, and conduct one-on-one on-site consultations with companies that show a high likelihood of moving into the complex. During these consultations, the city will thoroughly assess factors such as sales price concerns, required land area, preferred plots, suitability of the industry, and desired timing of move-in, with the aim of providing customized sales consultations for each company.
Furthermore, the city will collaborate with Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) to promptly connect companies to specialized consultations regarding sales procedures, plot status, and contract conditions, while also continuing follow-up management for interested companies.
A Dongducheon City official stated, "With the recent expansion of eligible industries and the introduction of various support measures for tenant companies, the sales conditions of Dongducheon National Industrial Complex have improved significantly. We hope that manufacturing companies in northern Gyeonggi considering relocation or expansion will show a great deal of interest in the complex."
The official added, "Dongducheon City will quickly provide the information companies need from their perspective and actively support them so that consultations can lead to actual decisions to move in. We will do our utmost in promotional efforts and company attraction to ensure that Dongducheon National Industrial Complex becomes a new industrial hub for northern Gyeonggi Province."
