NH Nonghyup Financial Group Signs Strategic Partnership MOU with Indonesia’s Mayapada Group

NH Nonghyup Financial Group announced on the 21st that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at the Mayapada Group headquarters in Jakarta, Indonesia, to establish a strategic partnership between the two groups.
Mayapada Group is one of Indonesia's leading conglomerates, operating in a wide range of sectors including finance, healthcare, hospitality, and real estate. Through this agreement, NH Nonghyup Financial Group plans to share advanced financial practices with local partners in Southeast Asia and jointly develop mutually beneficial business models.
NH Nonghyup Financial Group explained that, by signing the MOU with Mayapada Group, it will expand exchanges in the financial sector with Indonesia, the largest economy in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and systematically secure opportunities for market research to support future entry into the local market.
Specific cooperation plans include sharing NH Nonghyup Financial Group’s expertise in digital transformation (DT) and risk management, as well as discovering and promoting a variety of collaborative projects such as investment banking (IB), brokerage, and wealth management (WM) business connections between NH Nonghyup Financial Group subsidiaries and Mayapada Group affiliates, and conducting local market research.
Lee Chanwoo, Chairman of NH Nonghyup Financial Group, stated, “By expanding our local network and seeking new business opportunities in Indonesia, this will serve as a catalyst to further strengthen NH Nonghyup Financial Group’s global capabilities.”

Meanwhile, immediately after the signing ceremony, Chairman Lee met with Rosan Roeslani, CEO of Indonesia's Danantara Sovereign Wealth Fund, and expressed his intention to create concrete opportunities for collaboration with NH Nonghyup Financial Group affiliates, including joint investment in climate tech funds.
