Discounts Available on Flights Boarded in June
Airlines are expanding domestic flight discounts in June in recognition of Memorial Month, which honors veterans and national patriots.
Asiana Airlines announced on May 21 that, from May 20 to June 30, it will offer up to a 50% special fare discount on domestic economy class tickets to merit awardees, their bereaved families, and one accompanying guardian. The eligible flights are those boarding between June 1 and June 30.
Asiana Airlines has previously offered a 30% to 50% discount on domestic fares to those who have served the country, including merit awardees, their bereaved families, and companions. For this June, as part of Memorial Month, the scope of beneficiaries has been expanded.
Accordingly, the following groups are eligible for discounted domestic economy class fares on Asiana Airlines for the entire month of June when presenting an ID or national veteran registration card issued by the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs: ▲Independence Patriots and their bereaved families ▲National Merit Awardees and their bereaved families ▲5·18 Democratization Merit Awardees and their bereaved families ▲Special Mission Merit Awardees and their bereaved families ▲Recipients of Veterans Compensation and their bereaved families ▲Eligible Support Recipients and their bereaved families ▲Vietnam War defoliant aftereffect patients. One accompanying guardian is also entitled to the same discount when traveling together.
Jeju Air is also expanding its Memorial Month discount program in June.
The veterans’ discount will be applied to all domestic routes for flights boarded from June 1 to June 30, and reservations can be made through the Jeju Air website, mobile app, and web until the end of June.
