Neurolab Showcases Firefighting and Disaster Response Technology at International Fire Safety Expo
Neurolab, an affiliate of EM&I, announced on the 21st that it showcased its firefighting and disaster response robot technology at the 'International Fire Safety Expo' held at EXCO in Daegu.
The International Fire Safety Expo is a leading industry exhibition in Korea, co-hosted by the National Fire Agency and Daegu Metropolitan City, and organized by EXCO, the Korea Fire Institute (KFI), Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), and the Korea Fire Facility Association (KFIA). The event runs for three days from May 20 to 22.
At the exhibition, Neurolab unveiled a firefighting and disaster response solution based on quadruped walking robots. The company has been supplying quadruped walking robots to the domestic market in collaboration with Chinese robotics company DeepRobotics. In addition, Neurolab is pursuing secondary development by equipping the M20 robot platform with a thermal imaging camera and gas detection sensors, enabling functions such as: ▲ locating people in need of rescue ▲ guiding routes after rescue ▲ detecting smokers.
Neurolab is focusing on advancing artificial intelligence (AI)-based features to enable robots to conduct rescue operations and site exploration in hazardous environments such as fire and disaster scenes. The company also plans to add features based on AI algorithms to analyze the durability of structures at the site and to provide safe evacuation routes in the future.
