The Human Rights Keepers carry out on-site human rights protection activities, including monitoring the human rights situation of elderly residents and facility staff, and listening to their concerns.
This year, eight experts with extensive knowledge and experience in the field of senior welfare were selected. At the appointment ceremony held at the district office on the 19th, training on elder abuse prevention was also conducted to enhance the professionalism of the activities. The appointed Human Rights Keepers will be dispatched to eight senior medical welfare facilities in the district from June to December, conducting more than four on-site visits and counseling sessions at each facility.
The district plans to promptly address suggestions raised by the Human Rights Keepers on-site, while also establishing a cooperative system with the Eastern Seoul Elderly Protection Agency to actively protect the human rights of elderly residents and prevent abuse.
