Now in its seventh year, the World Hydrogen Summit is the world's largest hydrogen industry expo, where key topics related to hydrogen—such as mobility, production, infrastructure, regulation, and investment—as well as directions for cooperation, investment, and policy to revitalize the hydrogen ecosystem are discussed. The event is divided into conferences and exhibitions.
This year’s World Hydrogen Summit 2026 brought together approximately 10,000 participants, including government officials from about 100 countries and representatives from over 500 companies, to share a wide range of perspectives.
At the Korea Pavilion of the World Hydrogen Summit 2026, Hyundai Motor Group set up a booth centered on "HTWO," its hydrogen brand and business platform, showcasing exhibits such as a hydrogen fuel cell system mock-up and the all-new NEXO vehicle.
The all-new NEXO, Hyundai's next-generation passenger hydrogen electric vehicle, is equipped with a 150 kW motor that delivers acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds. According to Korean standards, it can travel up to 720 km on a single charge and began sales in the European market this year.

During the event, Hyundai Motor Group highlighted that hydrogen is increasingly being recognized not only as a means of decarbonization but also as an energy source to address global energy supply chain risks. The company emphasized the urgent need for the development of consistent policies and the establishment of global standards, in addition to technological advances, to accelerate the hydrogen ecosystem.
Meanwhile, as a founding member and co-chair of the Hydrogen Council, Hyundai Motor Group participated in the International Hydrogen Trade Forum (IHTF) meeting organized by the Hydrogen Council as part of the World Hydrogen Summit 2026 on May 20.
At the IHTF roundtable, which was attended by ministers and vice-ministers from more than 20 countries, participants discussed the need for practical and forward-looking hydrogen strategies to enhance the momentum for joint action between industry and government in the context of growing importance of energy security.
