The event, held at the Taipei World Trade Center, is the largest tourism expo in Taiwan, hosting over 850 booths each year with participants from around the world. It is regarded as a "battlefield" for tourism promotion.
Hwacheon-gun will set up an independent promotional booth dedicated to the Sancheoneo Ice Festival at the expo, showcasing videos and photos of the festival.
In addition, multilingual promotional materials for the Sancheoneo Ice Festival will be distributed to travel agency representatives and tourists, and promotional activities for the Hwacheon Tomato Festival, scheduled for August, will also be conducted.
The county will also visit four major travel agencies that sell Hwacheon Sancheoneo Ice Festival packages every year.
During the 2026 Hwacheon Sancheoneo Ice Festival, which concluded in January this year, nearly 10,000 tourists from Taiwan alone visited Hwacheon through these travel agencies.
Selected by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as the only global winter festival in Korea, the Hwacheon Sancheoneo Ice Festival continues to actively pursue overseas marketing every year, especially targeting Southeast Asian countries with little or no snow and ice.
Following the Taipei International Travel Fair, Hwacheon-gun also plans to visit Vietnam, Taiwan, and Hong Kong in the fall to conduct festival sales activities targeting local travel agencies.
