Named to Forbes' Global Top 200 Accessibility Innovations List
LG Electronics has been recognized as a leader in accessibility innovation for people with disabilities.
On May 20, LG Electronics announced that it has been included in the "Global Top 200 Accessibility Innovations" list by Forbes, an American business magazine. Since last year, Forbes has been selecting and announcing companies, organizations, and individuals who have demonstrated innovative improvements in accessibility for people with disabilities.

A representative product is the kiosk, unveiled for the first time earlier this year at "CSUN AT 2026," the world's largest accessibility conference. This kiosk integrates accessibility features such as a braille panel, sign language guidance, and a screen reader to improve convenience for customers with disabilities. Wheelchair users and shorter customers can also adjust the height by pressing a button.
The AI home hub "LG ThinQ On" interacts with customers, learns and predicts their daily patterns, and optimally controls home appliances and IoT devices. IoT sensors compatible with ThinQ On provide alerts using light linked to illumination instead of sound, allowing even hearing-impaired customers to conveniently receive notifications for door opening, motion detection, and power monitoring.
The LG Comfort Kit is a set of accessories designed to help customers conveniently use home appliances. It includes a total of 18 types, such as the Easy Handle (Door), which assists in opening and closing dishwasher doors; the Easy Detergent Cup, which clearly indicates the detergent compartment and amount; and the Easy Tray (Drip Tray), which helps position cups accurately at the water dispenser. These accessories have been developed with various customer experiences in mind, not only for people with disabilities and elderly customers but also for those with infants and young children.
Efforts to improve service accessibility are also ongoing. In Korea, the company provides the "Best Companion Care Service," where a dedicated manager assists customers with limited mobility one-on-one, helping them from the parking lot to the store, including product demonstrations. There is also a dedicated consultation service for customers who use sign language, enhancing accessibility at every customer touchpoint.

In addition, LG Electronics operates a one-day class at its Home Appliance School and the "Bold Move" community to improve accessibility for customers with disabilities and the elderly. The "Easy Text Book," which uses explanations and illustrations tailored to children and adolescents, won an award at the "iF Design Award 2026," one of the world's top three design prizes, recognizing its excellence in design for social inclusion and sustainability.
