View original imageOn this day, Kia held a vehicle handover ceremony at Los Angeles Stadium in the United States, and announced that it will officially provide a total of 660 vehicles to ensure the successful operation of the World Cup, which will be held from June 11 to July 19 (local time). The vehicles to be used for match operations include the Carnival, Telluride, Sorento, Sportage, K4, Niro, and Sonet.
In addition to official vehicle support, Kia plans to inspire soccer fans around the world through various campaigns, such as the launch of a World Cup display theme and Kia's 'Official Match Ball Carrier' (OMBC) program. OMBC is one of the core programs of Kia's FIFA World Cup partnership, in which children are selected to deliver the official match ball to the referee and enter the field with the players before the start of a World Cup match.
Kia President Song Ho-sung said, "It is an honor to support the FIFA World Cup as the official mobility partner," and added, "This vehicle support reflects Kia's commitment to providing innovative and sustainable mobility solutions on the global stage, and we hope it will become an inspiring experience for all participants and fans around the world."
