Cha Jinyeop, CEO of Collective A, Appointed as New Director of the National Contemporary Dance Company
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 19th that it has appointed Cha Jinyeop, CEO and Artistic Director of Collective A, as the new director and artistic director of the National Contemporary Dance Company, a foundation. Cha's term will last for three years.

View original imageCha Jinyeop, the newly appointed director, graduated from the School of Dance at the Korea National University of Arts and the London Contemporary Dance School in the UK. She is currently serving as CEO and Artistic Director of Collective A. Cha has continued her creative activities, including serving as choreography director for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics. She has also contributed to nurturing young talent as an adjunct professor at the Korea National University of Arts. In addition, she has been recognized for her artistic talent and creative capacity, receiving awards such as the 'Today's Young Artist Award' from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Established in 2010, the National Contemporary Dance Company is the only national contemporary dance company in Korea and is engaged in performance creation and production as well as international exchange projects.
