Korbit Holds Event to Celebrate "Bitcoin Pizza Day"
Korbit, a domestic virtual asset exchange, is holding a pizza gifticon giveaway event for seven days.
On May 19, Korbit announced that it will be running this event until May 25 to celebrate Bitcoin Pizza Day. Bitcoin Pizza Day commemorates May 22, 2010, when Bitcoin was first used as a means of payment for a real-world transaction. At that time, a programmer in the United States purchased two pizzas for 10,000 Bitcoins, marking the first known physical purchase using virtual assets.
The event consists of three missions, each offering a Domino's Pizza gifticon as a reward. A total of 156 winners will be selected by lottery from among members who complete the mission requirements.
The first mission will reward 52 members with a gifticon, selected by lottery from those who answer all the questions correctly on the Pizza Day quiz event page and trade at least 52,200 won worth of Bitcoin. The second mission will select 52 new Korbit members who trade at least 52,200 won worth of Bitcoin during the event period. The final mission will reward 52 members who trade at least 52,200 won worth of Bitcoin for seven consecutive days during the event, again selected by lottery.
