[6·3 Election] Kim Hanjong Pledges Ordinance to Support Single-Person Youth Households
"Laying the Foundation for Improving the Quality of Life for Single-Person Youth Households"
Candidate Kim Hanjong has pledged to strengthen living conditions for young people in the region by proposing the enactment of a “Jangseong-type ordinance” that includes the establishment of a social safety net and support for community activities, in preparation for an expected increase in single-person youth households due to the integration of Jeonnam and Gwangju administrative functions.
On the 18th, Kim Hanjong, the Democratic Party candidate for Jangseong County Governor, announced his campaign promise to enact a “Jangseong-type ordinance” to support single-person youth households.
Kim expects the number of single-person youth households in Jangseong to rise because of the planned integration of Jeonnam and Gwangju administrations, and he intends to respond to this policy demand accordingly.
The proposed ordinance focuses on establishing a social safety net for single-person youth households and supporting community activities. In his pledge, “youth” is defined as residents of Jangseong County aged 19 to 39, although the applicable age range may vary according to relevant laws and regulations.
