Candidate Lee stated, "Despite the growing population in Osan, there is a lack of large-scale medical facilities," adding, "I will work to attract a university hospital so that citizens can receive high-quality medical services nearby."
The plan is to secure land for medical facilities during the development planning stage of Segyo 3 District and then attract a hospital through a public offering for private operators after the completion of the district.
In particular, he intends to refer to the "package-type general hospital model" implemented by Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH) in Hwaseong Dongtan New Town, which combined a general hospital, officetel, rehabilitation hospital, and senior welfare housing. By doing so, he aims to establish a complex medical district that integrates healthcare, residential, and welfare facilities.
