GS E&C Hosts "Gran Open Day" Inviting Employees and Their Families
GS E&C announced on the 18th that it is promoting a family-friendly organizational culture by hosting the “Gran Open Day,” an event that invites employees’ families to the company in celebration of Family Month in May.
On May 16, GS E&C held the “Gran Open Day” at its headquarters, Gran Seoul, in Jongno-gu, Seoul, inviting approximately 200 employees and their family members. The event was organized to further spread a flexible, family-oriented organizational culture.
This event focused on employees with young children. A variety of programs were prepared to allow children to experience their parents’ workplace firsthand and to help them feel a sense of connection to the company.
The event featured a range of family-participation programs throughout the company building. A “Safety Equipment Experience Zone” was set up where participants could try on safety helmets and harnesses to experience the importance of safety at construction sites. Other hands-on programs included a caricature drawing event for families and a terrarium-making activity.
At the Sky Garden, an outdoor park on the rooftop, an experiential play area was operated, including snacks and an air bounce playground. In particular, the GS E&C employee cafeteria located on the second basement floor provided special meals so that employees and their families could dine together and experience the company’s atmosphere.
