"Instant Access to Medical Records of Children Under 14 with Just One Click"
HIRA Enhances 'My Medical Information Access' Service
From now on, parents will be able to instantly check the past medical treatment and prescription records of their children under the age of 14 online from home. The previously complex process, which required document submission and approval and could take up to 10 days, has been completely overhauled.

'My Medical Information Access' is a service that enables citizens to directly check their own medical treatment and prescription dispensing histories for use in personal health management. Users can view up to five years of medical and prescription records as of the date of inquiry.
Previously, only adults could access their own information online, while information on children under the age of 14 required a paper application with supporting documents such as a family relationship certificate. This process was inconvenient due to the need for document submission and could take up to 10 days for information to be retrieved, causing significant inconvenience for the public.
With this improvement, guardians can now access the Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service website, complete identity verification, and upload documents such as a family relationship certificate online. After staff approval, they can immediately view their child's medical information. Even if additional documentation is required, the reason for rejection can be checked online right away, allowing for prompt reapplication and approval, thus optimizing the process.
The Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service expects that this revision will significantly improve convenience for the public and enhance work efficiency, as it enables non-face-to-face administrative services without the need to visit the institution. In addition, by linking with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s public MyData system within this year, the relationship with the child will be automatically verified without the need for separate document submissions, making the service even faster and more convenient.
