Government Begins Full-Scale Operation of Integrated Information System Management
National Information Resources Service Introduces Integrated System
Targeting 14 Information Systems at Daegu Center
Overcoming the Limits of Individual Management... 24/7 Operations
The National Information Resources Service under the Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 18th that it will officially begin operating an integrated information management system.
This system consolidates 14 of the 709 information systems damaged in the fire at the Daejeon headquarters in September 2025, which were restored and migrated to the Daegu Center's Public-Private Partnership (PPP) cloud.

Currently, the PPP cloud at the Daegu Center houses 51 systems from 22 central government and public agencies. However, multiple private cloud management service providers (MSPs) have managed these systems individually. As a result, each system had different operation methods and varying approaches to incident and security response, making it difficult to maintain consistent quality. There has also been a continued need to improve overall operational efficiency.
In response, the National Information Resources Service is introducing an 'integrated MSP operation model' to manage multiple systems based on a unified standard. First, standardized operating procedures and an IT Service Management (ITSM) framework will be applied to centralize key tasks—such as incident response, system changes, and data backup—around the integrated MSP. The National Information Resources Service will supervise overall operations and support the user agencies.
In addition, a 24/7, year-round incident response and security monitoring system will be established. Preventive management will be strengthened with both advanced and real-time inspections to proactively prevent disruptions. In particular, the Service Level Agreement (SLA) applied to the cloud directly operated by the National Information Resources Service will be extended to all systems, thereby standardizing and raising the overall quality of operations.
The operational approach of the integrated MSP project will also be restructured. Instead of the previous method where staff were stationed onsite, information systems will now be managed from remote operations bases equipped with rigorous security standards. Through these changes, integrated MSP operators will be able to utilize specialized personnel more efficiently.

Ha Seungcheol, Acting Director General of the National Information Resources Service, stated, "The integrated MSP project will serve as an opportunity to further enhance the expertise and stability of public information system operations by leveraging private clouds. We will continue to expand a safer and more efficient cloud operating environment based on public-private cooperation."
