Baby Monster Surpasses 12 Million YouTube Subscribers
YG Entertainment announced on May 18 that, following the release of Baby Monster's third mini album, "Choom," the group's official YouTube channel surpassed 12 million subscribers as of the afternoon of May 17.
According to YG, Baby Monster gained approximately 250,000 new subscribers during the 13 days from the release of "Choom" on May 4 to May 17. Nearly 20,000 fans were added each day on average.
This milestone comes just 2 years and 2 months after their official debut on April 1, 2024, making it the fastest record ever set by a K-pop girl group. After surpassing 10 million subscribers last year, Baby Monster currently ranks first among fifth-generation girl groups and third among all K-pop girl groups.
The music video for the title track "Choom" immediately topped YouTube's worldwide trending chart upon its release. It recorded 15 million views within half a day, and is now approaching 100 million views.
