"If you simply upload a photo of your clothing, the model and background are randomly generated to match. You can save all the costs associated with studio rental, photography, and editing with just a single smartphone picture."

View original imageVirtual human models created using artificial intelligence (AI) are now common enough to be seen on digital billboards in subway stations. Dressing AI models in clothing photos to create fitting shots is not a new technology, either. Amid the boom in generative AI, a fashion-focused generative AI service is now receiving praise from e-commerce sellers for finally delivering something genuinely useful. That service is Angel League's "Style Room."
Oh Hyunseok, CEO of Angel League (pictured), explained that Style Room "not only provides the fits preferred by Korean consumers, but also replicates unique styling such as 'KkuanKku' (a style that looks effortless yet put together) and 'guest outfit looks.' The AI model database contains over 1,500 models and more than 2,500 backgrounds."
Style Room sets itself apart by prioritizing Korean-style models rather than Western-looking ones, making the service feel more familiar to local consumers. Sellers can obtain professional lookbook-level fitting images in just 1-2 minutes, without any additional retouching. The backgrounds also contribute to a natural feel, capturing the atmosphere of real locations such as back alleys in Seongsu-dong or Hannam-dong, or trendy cafes. Another advantage is that it allows sellers to upload new clothing items faster than their competitors.
Oh stated, "Our customer base is diverse, ranging from Dongdaemun wholesale vendors to foreign clothing companies. In particular, solo sellers and small-scale shops are spreading the word because they can significantly reduce costs."
Style Room did not become popular overnight. Oh personally visited Dongdaemun’s wholesale market at night to demonstrate the service and encourage people to try it out, gathering feedback in the process. He said, "Market merchants have already used many services, so they quickly assess the pros and cons. They appreciate that hundreds of images reflecting consumers' preferred fits and silhouettes are automatically generated in bulk."
Style Room's technology has also caught Google's attention. Last year, Oh was invited to present Style Room's AI technology and vision at the 'Google Cloud Gala.' Through a technology partnership with Google Cloud, Style Room has succeeded in naturally reproducing the unique wrinkles and textures of clothing—which generative AI previously struggled to express—so that they look like real garments. It is currently being praised for generating results that are the closest to real-life among commercialized solutions.
Oh commented, "Google's technical support was extremely helpful. On top of that, we enhanced the service by adding a Korean fashion trend engine. Recently, we also launched Style Room’s Asia version application in countries like Vietnam." He continued, "We are continuously identifying key points that make clothes look attractive when fitted and incorporating the latest trend information. As our overseas customer base grows, we will strive to maximize the 'flywheel' effect, where the system built by initial investment drives continuous growth."

There have been cases of over-the-counter stock investment fraud, such as individuals claiming in chat rooms or on social networking services (SNS) that they can sell unlisted stocks at a discount via Angel League, or impersonating 'Angel League employees' to induce payments to specific bank accounts.

Oh said, "We not only provide notices on our official website that we do not operate open chat rooms or stock tip chat groups, warning people to beware of impersonators, but we also report any suspicious activity immediately. I hope there will be no innocent victims, and I wish there would be no confusion or misunderstandings with the current Angel League."
