This agreement aims to strengthen a resident-participatory security system by linking the police's expertise in public security with the community-based resident network.
Going forward, the two organizations will strengthen patrols tailored to the characteristics of the area and jointly promote public security improvement activities that reflect residents' opinions. They also plan to hold regular collaboration meetings to review the results of their joint initiatives. Eunpyeong Senior Club intends to actively participate in crime prevention efforts by leveraging its networks among the local senior population and residents.
In addition, they will work together to promote the ongoing 'Seoul Police Re-Design' policy, which is being implemented by the police to establish basic public order, and to share public security information with residents. The Re-Design project is a resident-participatory public security policy in which residents suggest disorder or risk factors identified in daily life, and the police, along with relevant agencies, promptly address these issues.
