Human Technology's RF Scanner Designated as Excellent Product by Public Procurement Service... Anticipating Expansion of Anti-Drone Business
Human Technology is accelerating its efforts to penetrate the public procurement and national key infrastructure markets, led by its core anti-drone equipment, the RF Scanner.
On May 11, Human Technology announced that the RF Scanner (radio frequency detection equipment), developed by its wholly owned subsidiary Human Agos, which is currently undergoing a merger process, was selected last year as an innovative product by the Seoul Regional Public Procurement Service and this year has been designated as an Excellent Product by the Public Procurement Service.
The Excellent Product Designation System of the Public Procurement Service is a system that comprehensively evaluates technology, quality, and public utility to select outstanding products. Selected products can be adopted by public institutions more quickly, and they are eligible for registration in the Nara Marketplace Comprehensive Shopping Mall and for direct contracts, giving them a competitive edge in entering the public procurement market.
The RF Scanner, selected as an Excellent Product this time, is equipment that detects and analyzes communication signals between drones and controllers to track the direction and location of both the drone and its controller. It is considered a core device in anti-drone systems and is distinguished by its ability to provide direction detection and location tracking based on high-speed scan data processing technology. It also supports real-time monitoring and analysis functions.
Human Agos is supplying the RF Scanner to major domestic defense companies and is also participating in projects to establish anti-drone systems focused on port facilities. Based on this, the company is accelerating its expansion of market share in the domestic anti-drone market.
In the first half of this year, Human Technology secured orders centered on key national energy and transportation infrastructure, including Korea Southern Power (Samcheok, Hadong), Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (Kori), Korea Airports Corporation (Gimpo), and Korea East-West Power (Ulsan, Dangjin). According to the company, as of the end of April, the accumulated order backlog stands at approximately 11 billion won. Additionally, negotiations are underway with countries in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, raising expectations for a full-fledged growth in revenue starting this year.
Of particular note is that the performance of its subsidiary Human Agos will be reflected in the parent company's results after the merger is completed. The company expects that, after the anti-drone business revenue, which had previously been separated as an independent entity, is fully consolidated into Human Technology's financials upon completion of the merger in the second half of the year, both external growth and profitability improvement effects will become more pronounced.
The company also anticipates that integrating the anti-drone business value, which had been distributed among subsidiaries, into the parent company's performance will lead to positive changes in market evaluation.
Human Technology plans to further accelerate the growth of its anti-drone business in the second half of the year by securing additional orders centered on national key infrastructure and by strengthening its expansion into the Middle East and Southeast Asian markets, thereby expanding its presence in the global anti-drone and defense markets.
A Human Technology representative stated, "Following our designation as an innovative product and now as an excellent product, our technology and product stability have been recognized once again," adding, "We will continue to advance our technology in the anti-drone and defense sectors and strive to expand K-anti-drone solutions in the global market."
