Gyeonggi Province to Provide Additional Support for Elevator Replacement in Aging Apartments
The Gyeonggi Provincial Government will provide additional support for the replacement of elevators and the reinforcement of fire safety facilities in aging apartment complexes.
This year, Gyeonggi Province decided to provide funding for elevator replacements and repairs of common facilities at 118 aging multi-unit housing complexes through the 'Residential Environment Improvement and Safety Facility Support Project,' and accepted applications last month.
As a result of the application process, Gwangmyeong City will continue to accept additional applications for elevator repairs and safety facilities, Siheung City for safety facilities, and Namyangju City for elevator repairs, as there are still available quotas in these categories.
Additionally, for fire safety facility reinforcement projects such as the replacement of outdated fire detectors, the province will accept additional applications for the remaining budget of 30 million won. All 31 cities and counties in Gyeonggi Province are eligible to apply for these additional fire safety facility funds.
Gyeonggi Province will also support fire safety facility improvements at 115 complexes within the province, including the relocation of electric vehicle charging stations, installation of underground water supply devices and fire detection CCTVs, and replacement of aging fire detectors.
