After the ceremony, employees of Shinhan Bank participated in a volunteer activity with around 10 female single parents, making 'Family Month Flower Baskets' to be delivered to vulnerable groups.
Under this agreement, Shinhan Bank will sponsor 100 million won each year for the next three years, totaling 300 million won. Through this initiative, about 200 female single parents will be able to participate in self-reliance education and emotional recovery programs.
The recipients will be selected from female single parents residing across the country, based on a comprehensive assessment of income levels and willingness to become self-reliant. The main programs will be carried out in stages according to the participants' circumstances and plans, aiming to help them enjoy happiness as complete families.
Specifically, the 'Money Up' program will provide matching savings to offer practical opportunities for asset building. Household financial mentoring and family finance coaching will be provided to enhance financial accessibility for single-parent families. One-on-one customized self-reliance capacity building education will support career advancement for female single parents. In addition, step-by-step and continuous social contribution models will be established, including support for housing, medical care, psychological assistance, and 'Refresh Day' programs to help restore relationships with children, thereby supporting the entire self-reliance process.
Since 2023, Shinhan Bank and the Dongbang Social Welfare Association have been jointly promoting the 'Renewing My Job' initiative to strengthen the employment capabilities of female single parents, providing customized employment education to about 180 female single parents.
