During the orientation, participants attended special lectures such as "A to Z of the Construction Equipment Industry" and "The Future Opened by Smart Construction Equipment." They also took part in hands-on programs, including experiencing RC equipment, operating an excavation simulator, and riding actual construction machinery.
This contest was organized to strengthen the global competitiveness of K-construction equipment based on ideas from domestic engineering students and to discover talent who will lead the future construction equipment industry.
The preliminary and final rounds of the contest will be held in June and August, respectively. Participants will propose ideas by choosing one or more of the four themes: intelligence, sustainability, safety & convenience, and future construction sites.
Teams that advance to the final round will be assigned HD Construction Equipment employee mentors and are expected to create and demonstrate deliverables linked to actual industry sites.
The awards will be determined following the final evaluation in August. The team selected for the Grand Prize will receive a prize of 10 million won, an overseas field trip, and an exemption from the document screening process in recruitment. The Excellence Award team will receive 5 million won and the opportunity for an overseas field trip, while the Encouragement Award team will be awarded 2 million won.
