Centric Tax Corporation and Duhyun Law Firm Launch Non-Face-to-Face Inheritance Platform "Dowajwo Inheritance"
On May 8, Centric Tax Corporation and Duhyun Law Firm announced the official launch of "Dowajwo Inheritance," a non-face-to-face inheritance platform that handles everything from inheritance tax filing to legal dispute response in a single process. The two companies plan to enhance their expertise while establishing a reasonable fee structure to improve access to inheritance-related services.
Recently, as asset values have risen, the number of people filing inheritance tax returns has rapidly increased, and demand for inheritance tax and inheritance-related legal services has also expanded. According to data from the National Tax Service, the number of inheritance tax filers rose from 11,521 in 2020 to 20,167 in 2024, nearly doubling over four years.
However, there are still many cases where people struggle to resolve inheritance issues due to high fees and complex procedures. In response, "Dowajwo Inheritance" is focused on providing professional services while reducing the cost burden for clients.
The platform is operated by a team led by Man-Sik Ahn, a certified tax accountant and inheritance and gift tax specialist who previously worked at the National Tax Service as a private banker. More than 20 experts—including former professors in inheritance and gift tax at the National Tax Officials Training Institute, tax accountants who handled inheritance and gift tax interpretations at the National Tax Service, and former tax investigators—participate in the platform. They provide strategy development services that consider not only the tax filing stage but also future tax audit responses.
Legal work related to inheritance is handled by inheritance specialist attorneys from Duhyun Law Firm. The team is led by Su-Kyung Kim, a managing attorney with experience in tax appeals at the National Tax Service, and Eun-Jeong Lee, a former family court judge at the Seoul Family Court. Together, they have established a one-stop system that manages both inheritance disputes and tax risks.
The operations team explained that the key competitive advantage lies in the structure where tax and legal professionals participate together from the initial consultation to post-processing, thereby preemptively eliminating risk factors that may arise during the inheritance tax payment process.
"Dowajwo Inheritance" offers three customized services according to asset size and type.
First, "Simple Inheritance" is a service specialized for non-face-to-face transactions, allowing clients to complete contracts and submit documents via PC or mobile without visiting in person. A key feature is the reduction in fee burden.
"Expert Inheritance" targets clients with complex asset structures, such as high-net-worth individuals with assets of 3 billion won or more or owners of unlisted shares. It supports legal tax-saving and risk minimization through in-depth analysis by specialists.
The "Business Succession" service is a program designed for clients preparing for corporate succession and supports stable business transfers by utilizing tax law benefits.
The platform also features an inheritance tax calculator for easy estimation of expected tax payments, and a business succession deduction diagnosis service that allows users to conveniently check their eligibility and expected benefits.
"Dowajwo Inheritance" aims to be more than just a service platform by serving as a portal that comprehensively provides information on inheritance and gift tax. It offers the latest information and official interpretations related to inheritance tax and inheritance law, as well as various templates such as inheritance property division agreements, inheritance waiver applications, business succession deduction applications, and gift contracts.
In addition, to help users easily understand complex inheritance, gift tax, and legal issues, the platform will provide expert columns and tax-saving case studies. The operations team also plans to continuously share inheritance-related information with taxpayers through the official YouTube channel.
The operations team stated, "Inheritance is something everyone experiences at least once, but since it is not a frequent occurrence, lack of information often leads to unnecessary taxes or penalties. By understanding inheritance-related laws in advance, family disputes can also be prevented. We aim to create an environment where everyone can receive the best possible service at a reasonable cost."
