Taebaek City Secures Hosting of the 63rd and 64th Autumn University Football Federation Championships for 18 Consecutive Years
Taebaek City in Gangwon Province announced on May 7 that it has secured the hosting rights for the 63rd and 64th Autumn University Football Federation Championships, organized and hosted by the Korea University Football Federation. With this, the city will have hosted the event for 18 consecutive years, starting from the 42nd tournament in 2011 and continuing through 2028.

Taebaek City was confirmed as the host due to its long-standing reputation for stable tournament management and its athlete-centered competition environment.
The 63rd championship is scheduled to take place in 2027, and the 64th in 2028. The extended stays of participating teams and officials are expected to significantly boost the local economy during the summer, particularly in the lodging, dining, and tourism sectors.
An official from Taebaek City stated, "Securing the Autumn University Football Federation Championship for 18 consecutive years is the result of our city’s recognized ability to manage events systematically and the ongoing expansion of sports infrastructure. We will continue to enhance stadium facilities and support so that participating athletes can perform at their best."

Meanwhile, the 62nd Autumn University Football Federation Championship will be held for 17 days from July 2 to July 18 at venues including the Main Stadium, Highland Stadium, 365 Stadium, Sports Park Stadium, and Kangwon Tourism University Stadium, where university football teams from across the country are set to compete in passionate matches.
