Gokseong County Urges Active Participation in 'Dream Start' to Support Vulnerable Children
Promoting Tailored Integrated Services
for Festival Visitors and Tourists
Jeonnam Gokseong County has launched a campaign to raise awareness of the 'Dream Start' program, which supports the healthy growth of children from vulnerable groups in the region in celebration of Children's Day.
On May 5, Jeonnam Gokseong County conducted promotional activities for the 'Dream Start' program targeting tourists and children visiting the Seomjingang Train Village Festival for Children's Day, the county announced on May 7.
The Dream Start program is an initiative that provides tailored, integrated services to children from vulnerable backgrounds to promote their healthy growth and development. The core objective is to ensure equal starting opportunities for all children so they can grow into happy members of society. The program is available to pregnant women, children from birth up to 12 years old (elementary school age and younger), and their families.

In particular, children participating in Dream Start recently achieved a 100% pass rate in a Chinese character class, and performed a belly dance at the Gokseong County Residents' Day event, which received an enthusiastic response from the community. These diverse activities are reported to significantly boost children's confidence, aid in their social development, and help foster positive character traits.
