'Hulk' Bryson DeChambeau (United States) revealed that he had no prior knowledge about the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF) suspending its sponsorship.
On the 6th (local time), ahead of the LIV Golf Virginia tournament in Washington, D.C., United States (total prize money of $30 million), DeChambeau met with local reporters and said, "I was completely shocked. I never expected something like this to happen." Recalling his conversation with Yasir Al-Rumayyan, Governor of the PIF, in 2022, DeChambeau added, "Just a few months ago, we were told we'd be here until 2032, and that funding was secured through 2032."

DeChambeau said that if LIV Golf is discontinued next year, he will set a goal of tripling the subscribers on his YouTube channel, which currently has 2.69 million subscribers. He added, "I want to dub my YouTube videos in multiple languages so that more people can watch them," and "I also want to participate in tournaments that want me."
Regarding the issue of returning to the PGA Tour, DeChambeau avoided giving specifics, saying, "It will depend on what the PGA Tour people say and what sanctions I might face."
