Strong Educational and Living Infrastructure
Hwasun County in South Jeolla Province is launching a new round of recruitment for residents to fill the remaining units in the 'Jamjeong Sunshine Village' townhouse complex, aiming to support the settlement of farmers and attract young people to the area.
On May 6, Hwasun County announced that it will offer general sales for six unsold units in the 'Rural New Town Jamjeong Sunshine Village,' which was developed in the Jamjeong-ri area of Neungju-myeon.
Jamjeong Sunshine Village is a rural residential complex established in 2013 as a pilot project by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. The project was initiated to improve rural residential environments and attract urban youth. The village is highly regarded for its excellent accessibility to urban areas and for having elementary, middle, and high schools nearby, offering outstanding educational and living conditions.
Last year, Hwasun County gave priority sales to 137 out of the total 150 units to existing residents. Through this new recruitment, the county plans to complete the sale of the remaining six units.
Applicants are prioritized according to specific criteria.
First priority is given to those registered as agricultural business operators who can move into the unit and actually reside there within 60 days after the transfer of ownership registration. Second priority is for general applicants who can also move in and reside within 60 days after the transfer of ownership registration.
The detailed schedule is as follows: the resident recruitment announcement was made on May 6, followed by an open house on May 15, application and registration on May 18, and a public lottery on May 22.
An Jin-hwan, Director of the Rural Vitality Division at Hwasun County, stated, "We hope to complete full occupancy of the townhouse complex through the sale of the remaining units, and to revitalize the rural community by attracting young farmers."
