Democratic Party Finalizes Candidate Rankings for Jeonbuk Proportional Representation Seats
First: Yoon Haeah, Second: Park Suhyeong, Third: Kang Jeonghee
Fourth: Park Byeongcheol, Fifth: An Yongju, Sixth: Song Seungryong
On May 6, the Election Commission of the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Provincial Chapter of the Democratic Party of Korea finalized its candidates for the proportional representation seats in the 9th nationwide local elections for Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province.
According to the results, the candidates were ranked as follows: first, Yoon Haeah (27 years old); second, Park Suhyeong (36 years old); third, Kang Jeonghee (59 years old); fourth, Park Byeongcheol (57 years old); fifth, An Yongju (59 years old); and sixth, Song Seungryong (50 years old).
The Provincial Election Commission held a joint speech session for the proportional representation candidates on May 4 in the conference room of the provincial chapter. Subsequently, from May 5 to May 6, the rankings were determined by online voting among all eligible party members of the Jeonbuk provincial chapter.
Yoon Haeah, who was ranked first, has been consistently active in protecting socially disadvantaged groups and promoting the rights of people with disabilities. Park Suhyeong, ranked second, has played a leading role in youth policy and has been a core member of Jeonbuk Youth Leaders driving change.

Kang Jeonghee, ranked third, is the first master in the beauty industry in Jeollabuk-do and a social economy enterprise expert. Park Byeongcheol, ranked fourth, is a former chairperson of the Jeonju branch of the Federation of Korean Trade Unions. An Yongju, ranked fifth, worked as a local government public service employee for over 30 years. Song Seungryong, ranked sixth, is a carbon-hydrogen expert and has worked in the energy transition sector. Meanwhile, there are a total of six proportional representation seats for Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, and the final allocation will be determined based on the results of the party vote in the June 3 local elections.
