Gyeongsan City Council's Budget Committee Reviews First Supplementary Budget of 1.5072 Trillion Won
Emergency Supplementary Budget Allocated for High Oil Price Compensation Funds
The Budget and Settlement Special Committee of the Gyeongsan City Council in North Gyeongsang Province reviewed the first supplementary budget bill for 2026 on May 6.
The scale of the first supplementary budget for 2026 stands at 1.5072 trillion won, an increase of 31.5 billion won (2.1%) compared to the original budget of 1.4757 trillion won.
By account, the entire 31.5 billion won increase was allocated to the general account.

View original imageThis supplementary budget includes 31.23 billion won in compensation funds for damages caused by high oil prices, and 250 million won in related operating expenses. The main focus is to ease the financial burden on citizens caused by high oil and commodity prices and to promote local economic recovery, in line with government policy support.
Chair Kim Jungsook stated, "As chair, I will faithfully fulfill my duties to ensure that this supplementary budget is executed swiftly and smoothly so that it can provide practical assistance to citizens struggling with high oil and commodity prices."
