Thick fog is forecast, especially along the coastal areas in the morning, so extra caution for traffic safety is necessary.
According to the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration on May 6, tomorrow's temperatures will be similar to or slightly lower than the seasonal averages (morning low of 9 to 14 degrees Celsius, daytime high of 21 to 25 degrees Celsius). The morning low is expected to range from 8 to 12 degrees Celsius, with the daytime high between 19 and 25 degrees Celsius. In particular, the temperature difference between day and night throughout Gwangju and Jeonnam is forecast to be as wide as about 15 degrees Celsius until tomorrow.
Visibility due to fog is also a major concern. Until the morning of the 7th, some areas of the Jeonnam coast may experience extremely thick fog with visibility less than 200 meters, while other inland areas of Gwangju and Jeonnam are expected to have fog reducing visibility to less than 1 kilometer.
