His term will last for two years, until April 2028.

This research analyzed the status of antibiotic resistance in patients with uncomplicated cystitis across South Korea. It is regarded as an important source of evidence for the development of future treatment guidelines for urinary tract infections and the establishment of strategies to address antibiotic resistance.
His inauguration as president is also seen as a reflection of the trust he has earned as the right person to lead the field of genitourinary infections in South Korea, based on his long-standing involvement and academic achievements within the association.
The Korean Association for Genitourinary Infections and Inflammation is an academic society that has been at the forefront of research and clinical advancements in urinary tract infections, sexually transmitted infections, and antibiotic resistance in urological infectious diseases.
Professor Jung outlined his main initiatives as follows: advancement of evidence-based clinical guidelines, strengthening of antibiotic resistance surveillance systems, fostering young researchers, expanding international academic exchange, and enhancing infection prevention education and public health programs.
Professor Jung currently serves as a professor in the Department of Urology at Chonnam National University Medical School, as well as Director of Planning and Coordination at Hwasun Jeonnam National University Hospital, and as Director of International Exchange for the Korean Urological Association.
