Receives the Young Scientist Award from the Korean Institute of Metals and Materials
Professor Jaewoong Bae of Pukyong National University has been recognized as an emerging researcher in the field of metals and materials.
Pukyong National University announced on May 6 that Professor Jaewoong Bae (Department of Metallurgical Engineering) has received the 'Young Scientist Award' at the Spring Conference of the Korean Institute of Metals and Materials.
Since joining the university in 2022, Professor Bae has focused his research on structural metallic materials used in extreme environments. He has conducted studies linking design, processing, and microstructure control.
His related research achievements have been published in numerous top-tier SCI(E) journals in the field of metals and materials engineering.
The Korean Institute of Metals and Materials explained the reason for the award, stating, "His research on the development of new alloys for extreme environments and heterostructure design is outstanding." The institute also expressed expectations that he will make significant contributions to the academic advancement of the metals and materials engineering field in Korea.
