Storytelling Stamp Book Introduced on Peace Nuri-gil... Completion Earns Certificate and Souvenir
Starting May 6, Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization will implement the ‘Storytelling Stamp Book Completion Certification Program’ for hikers on the Peace Nuri-gil Trail.
This stamp book goes beyond simple certification and stamp collection; it is designed in a storytelling format that incorporates the historical and cultural narratives of the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) border area and the unique characteristics of each Peace Nuri-gil course. Each page contains local legends and vivid stories associated with the course, providing walkers with a wealth of reading material.
This initiative introduces an offline stamp book to supplement the existing mobile app-based certification method (INAVI Stamp-Orda). The goal is to improve accessibility for travelers less familiar with smart devices and to evoke the analog appeal of physically stamping the book while walking.
Walkers can collect stamps featuring major landmarks from each course, such as Sondolmyeo (Gimpo Course 1), Munsusanseong Fortress (Gimpo Course 2), and Hakkok-ri Dolmen (Yeoncheon Course 10), preserving the unique charm of the Peace Nuri-gil. The stamp books are limited to 4,800 copies and are sold for 500 won each at vending machines for goods located in Imjingak (Paju Course 8) and the Peace Nuri-gil Eoulrim Center (Yeoncheon Course 11).
Those who collect all 15 stamps across 12 courses can receive a completion certificate and a commemorative gift at the Yeoncheon Peace Nuri-gil Eoulrim Center. Meaningful experiences, such as having their names entered in the Hall of Fame inside the Eoulrim Center, are also available.
