Experience Jinju Gardens in Advance... Special Hands-On Program to Be Launched
Previewing the Garden Expo:
Experience, Create, and Feel the Culture of Gardens
Jinju City in South Gyeongsang Province announced that it will operate the '2026 Special Garden Experience Program' to allow citizens to experience and enjoy gardens up close.
This program is a citizen-participatory initiative that combines garden tours and hands-on activities, designed to give participants a preview of the main venues of the '2026 Jinju Garden Expo.'
In particular, the program will focus on the gardens created at 'Jewel of the Forest in Wolasan,' with Jinju citizen gardeners participating as tour guides and instructors for the hands-on programs, thereby adding expertise and on-site engagement. This contributes to the spread of a citizen-driven garden culture.

Each session is divided into a morning slot (10:00–12:00) and an afternoon slot (14:00–16:00), and anyone above elementary school age can participate.
Part 1, the 'Garden Tour with Explanations,' offers a guided tour of the Artist Garden, Moonlight Garden, and Love Garden, providing an opportunity to learn about the garden’s layout and the stories of its plants.
In Part 2, participants will take part in a hands-on 'Terrarium' making activity using Phalaenopsis orchids, where they can create their own small garden.
The participation fee is 5,000 won per person. Applications can be submitted through the garden education announcement on the Jinju Garden homepage until May 30. If the number of applicants is low, on-site registration on the day of the event will also be available.
