Sancheong County Establishes Institutional Foundation for Small Art Museum
Stabilizing Operations with Reduced Rental Fees
Improving Cultural Accessibility for Residents
Sancheong County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on May 6 that it has established the "Ordinance on the Management and Operation of Small Art Museums" to ensure the systematic and stable operation of small art museums.
This ordinance was introduced to provide an institutional foundation necessary for the operation of the small art museum and the implementation of various projects. It includes provisions on the museum's roles, operational standards, rental procedures, and operational details.
In particular, the ordinance includes regulations for reducing rental fees for county residents, which is expected to ease the financial burden on local residents and organizations and improve access to cultural and leisure activities.
With the enactment of this ordinance, Sancheong County plans to transition the small art museum from its previous pilot operation phase to a regular operational system.
Previously, since opening the small art museum in June last year, the county has laid the groundwork as a regional cultural hub by hosting various special exhibitions such as the "Traveling Provincial Art Museum," "Kim Jonghak Invitational Exhibition," and "Records and Poetry Exhibition of Sancheong."
