Lego Korea Hosts '2026 Gwanghwamun Family Accompanying Festival' with Seoul City
1.3 Million Visitors in Five Days
Lego Korea announced on May 6 that it collaborated with the Seoul Metropolitan Government to host the '2026 Gwanghwamun Family Accompanying Festival - Let's Play Gwanghwamun Square' at Gwanghwamun Square in Jongno-gu, Seoul, from May 2 to May 5, in celebration of Children's Week in May.
This event was organized as the largest-ever outdoor brick playground, utilizing a total of 6 million bricks. Starting with a pre-opening on May 1, the five-day event attracted approximately 1.3 million visitors to Gwanghwamun Square, where they enjoyed play activities in the heart of the city.

This massive artwork, measuring 12 meters by 12 meters and featuring landmarks from all 25 districts of Seoul, was completed as citizens themselves assembled bricks to create one grand urban landscape. Lego Korea and the Seoul Metropolitan Government plan to donate 35,000 Lego sets—the same number as the total participants in the 'Seoul We Built Together' program—through nonprofit organizations to places in need of play opportunities within this year.
In addition, at the 'Lego Family Play Ground,' where families teamed up to complete various missions, and the 'Lego Play Experience Zone,' offering diverse Lego activities, children and adults alike unleashed their imagination and shared the joy of play. On the opening day, May 2, popular creator Hey Jini attended the opening ceremony, while on May 4, the 'Lego Builders Club' participated as special guests, further elevating the excitement on site.
